Whether you are a beginner at the gym, or feel as though you may be lacking in fitness knowledge, group fitness classes offer a great solution. Joining a class helps build a solid foundation and structure that can fuel your health journey for years to come.
One of my favorite things about group fitness classes is the energy that is created in a group setting. It is inspiring and motivating to be around people who are dedicated to the fitness journey as well. An encouraging instructor and supportive people all working hard together helps to keep you motivated throughout the class. There is even a little bit of old-fashioned competition. It is human nature that if the person next to you is giving an all out effort, you are more likely to do the same. Group fitness classes are a great way to motivate yourself and others to dig even deeper and push harder during workouts.
Many people are unsure of what exercises, reps, or sets to do when they walk into the gym. Each group fitness class is structured with a warm up, total body workout, and a cool down. You will definitely be introduced to some new moves and ideas to formulate your own workouts down the line. Our instructors always coach our clients through each segment of the workout. It’s our job to not only show you proper form, but to make sure that everyone is executing each exercise the right way. Not only is good form the best way to reap the benefits of the exercises that you are doing, but it also helps eliminate potential injuries.
They say that variety is the spice of life. Jada Blitz offers a variety of different style classes so that each member can find something that specifically fits what they are looking for. Operation Bootcamp creates a high intensity style kickboxing and weight training class that leaves clients stronger and with increased upper body strength. Blitz Body, 20/20/20, and Cardio and Core are each unique classes that help members create more endurance while hitting each muscle group with weights, cardio equipment, the TRX, sleds, and ropes. If you are preparing for your first 5K, half marathon, or obstacle course race, join Rachel on Wednesday nights for our brand new Running Club that is launching this month. Looking for spinning, yoga, or more individualized TRX classes? Revolution has another great set of class offerings available at the Blitz in their upstairs studio.
If you’re having trouble keeping yourself accountable at the gym, take advantage of advance sign up for the class of your choosing on our website. This is a great way to keep accountable, because if you are signed up, there’s a good chance you won’t skip it. Besides, you know your friends are waiting for you at in the class and will be asking where you were anyway!
There is really no other way to put it: Group fitness classes are always a fun time. Between the music, a great workout, and a group of people and trainers to motivate you along the way, it is always a fun way to workout. If you’re looking to add some excitement into your fitness routine, a group class may be just what you need.
