Client of the Week

A big shout out this week goes to Carrie Palmeter…and a half! As you can see, even 33 weeks pregnant doesn’t stop this powerhouse from training at least 3 times a week. A well deserved congratulations Carrie!

1.) Describe your fitness journey
For years I was guilty of being a “cardio girl,” doing endless hours on the elliptical or running, not getting proper nutrition and seeing limited results. About 4 yrs ago Justin’s wife, Ashley convinced me to switch things up and try some weight training. For me, it was an excuse to socialize with my friend and get a little exercise in. However, the results from weight training were almost immediate and I was hooked!

2.) What is your favorite body part to train and why.
I have a love hate relationship with leg day. I find it the most challenging but also the most rewarding.

3.) What is your favorite aspect about your journey at Jada Blitz
As cliche as it might sound, so many people at Jada Blitz have become friends and some, even family. You see people come and go and come back again. You celebrate goals of complete strangers. Every trainer is there to help regardless of you being “their client” or not. There is just an unspoken camaraderie that circulates that place! I never thought taking a chance on a trainer that my girlfriend recommended would bring so much more than exercise.

4.) Favorite pre-post work out meals
Let’s just say I have lots of favorites these days! I can say that my relationship with food has changed since meeting Justin but I definitely still have a long way to go. That is my goal post-baby!

5.) One attribute you love about your trainer
It’s hard to pick just one! But I think what stands out most about Justin is his consistency. I’ve never met someone with such consistent passion, motivation, support,…and the list goes on. He’s consistent with everything, no matter what and especially when I’m not. Being pregnant for the first time and remaining consistent with my workouts has been a huge challenge for me. As far as I’ve come in my journey it’s also been a very humbling time. I always joke that Justin deserves a “push present” for dealing with me at 6am but I know I wouldn’t have lasted this past 8 months without him pushing me along.
