This week we recognize John Prisaznuk…our Client of the Week. Here is a little bit about John’s journey
My fitness journey began with Gastric Bypass surgery in 2002 and a weight loss of about 110 pounds. In December of 2011, I joined Weight Watchers because I gained a lot of weight back and STILL did not know how to eat properly. So I had to re-learn how to eat. I still attend Weight Watcher meetings every week. To this date, I have lost almost 200 pounds.
Why did you choose Jada Blitz as your fitness facility?
I chose Jada Blitz because a great friend recommended I try it. It is by far one of the best decisions I have ever made. I also know Justin Draper from when I taught him in 6th grade!
How does your trainer motivate you through a workout?
I train with Adam. Adam motivates me through a workout by talking me through each machine and demonstrates form, so ultimately I can workout independently. Adam gives me positive reinforcement and pushes me past my comfort zone too.
What is your favorite body part to train and why?
My favorite part of the body to train is probably my legs. I strive to walk 10 to 15 thousand steps every day and my legs feel strong.
Do you have a go to jam that gets you pumped for a workout?
My go to jams are fast/thumping beats like Cheerleader by Omi, King Kunta by Kendrick Lamar, Uptown Funk by Mark Ronson/Bruno Mars…too many jams to list! But it is a must have when I’m on the elliptical! For me, music is key to movement.
What is your favorite pre-post workout meals?
My pre-workout meal is rolled up sliced turkey with mustard and Oikos Triple Zero yogurt. My post workout meal is one scoop of Vanilla Trutein Protein Powder mixed with 8 oz. of skim milk and frozen banana.
What is one attribute you love about your trainer?
It’s hard to pick one attribute I love about Adam, but it is his positive attitude and encouragement that are awesome! Adam ALWAYS encourages me to be my best, do my best and to keep trying especially when I get frustrated. Adam teaches me about the importance of good nutrition. Adam is a great coach. Working with him also helps boost my self-confidence.
Why should someone looking for a gym try Jada Blitz?
Everyone looking for a gym should come to Jada Blitz because the staff is really cool, friendly, and make you feel like you are part of their fitness family. Having lived most of my life as an obese person, I was really intimidated at even stepping foot in a gym; but it was something I wanted to do. Now, nothing gets in the way of my training with Adam!
