Healthy Buffalo and Jada Blitz Training are joining forces for National Childhood Obesity Awareness Month for year round recreation in Williamsville and around Buffalo, during the month of September.
To celebrate National Childhood Obesity Awareness Month, Healthy Buffalo and Jada Blitz Training will host a kids bootcamp class, for ages 5 and up at Jada Blitz Training on September 28th at 6:30 pm.
Healthy Buffalo is a local non-profit, started in 2008, with the goal of helping Buffalo ‘get fit’ by offering year-round recreational activities at several Western New York venues. From youth, high school and men’s and women’s basketball games at the North Buffalo Community Center, to co-ed broomball at Canalside, there is something for everybody.
“The Healthy Buffalo team is on a path to revitalize the community and with the help of Jada Blitz Training, we’re ready to make a huge impact,” said Anthony Giordano, Healthy Buffalo president. “I’ve watched Jada grow from where it started a few years ago, and I’ve seen how many lives its changed over the past few years; Healthy Buffalo is excited to be a part of these successes.”
Jada Blitz Training, founded in 2012, is a full fitness facility in Williamsville, which has a family feel and a passion about health and wellness. Together, the Jada Blitz trainers strive to make Buffalo a healthier place to live, by changing people’s lives through the power of motivation.
“Community involvement is extremely important to our family, and partnering with Healthy Buffalo will allow us to expand our reach to the City of Buffalo,” said Ashley Draper, Jada Blitz Training director of operations. “We’re very proud to announce this partnership, and we hope to offer numerous types of fitness classes for kids and families, thanks to Healthy Buffalo.”
