Client of the Week


This week Jada Blitz recognizes Tania Martzolf as Client of the Week!! Here is a little bit about Tania’s story

1. Describe your fitness journey.
I was an athlete in high school so being physically active was natural for me growing up. But I was never on a team that emphasized the importance of building strength and power off the court or the field. When I went to college, they just assumed as a physical education major, I knew how to use equipment, different exercises to strengthen different body parts, and how to develop a workout. Based on my body weight, I was given a weight for a few different exercises that I had to lift in order to achieve an A in my fitness class. After college, I decided running was going to be the way that I would loose the weight I gained during college. I ran 4 half marathons and 1 full marathon. I lost weight rapidly, especially during the marathon training, but gained it all back just as fast when I stopped the long distance runs. I knew I had to add weight training into my workouts but didn’t know how to and didn’t have the confidence at the gym to try anything new. After starting to train at Jada Blitz, I have gained so much more than the confidence to go to the gym.

2. Why did you choose Jada Blitz as your fitness facility?

My sister started going to Jada Blitz and always talked about how much she loved it. I secretly always wanted to join her but I didn’t think I would be able to do it without embarrassing myself. In October 2014, she started telling me how much I would love it. After a few weeks of convincing me, I finally went with her to one of her sessions with Justin and instantly fell in love. Everything she had described about the atmosphere and the energy of the gym was true and I didn’t feel uncomfortable at all. It made working out fun again for me.

3. What is your favorite body part to train and why?

I love doing upper body workouts. I have never had a strong upper body so the workouts are challenging to me. I love seeing the progress as I get stronger and stronger.

4. Do you have a go-to jam that gets you pumped? What is it?

I don’t have a specific song that I always put on but I am the rare person that likes to listen to country music while working out! Keith Urban, Luke Bryan, Kenny Chesney, any of them!

5. Favorite-post workout meal?

Working out so early in the morning, just a banana is always my go to pre-workout meal. After my workout, I love oatmeal with cinnamon and cinnamon bun protein powder mixed in.

6. What attribute you love about your trainer?

I train with Mike K. There are so many different things I love about working with Mike. I love how knowledgeable Mike is in so many different aspects. Every workout is different. Mike and I have been working together for a year and I have never done the same workout twice. In every exercise, he can tell me variations of it to make it harder or adjust it for my ability level. Mike is always willing to go above and beyond. If I am there on my own and he notices I am doing something wrong in an exercise, he’ll let me know so I can fix it. If I have time after my session, he will give me more exercises to do to finish up a workout. He also makes the workouts fun. I enjoy going to the gym and want to be there, no matter what time it is. 5am can come really fast but I never have trouble getting there on mornings I have a session with Mike. He pushes me in each workout and makes me believe in myself that I can do it.

7. Why should someone looking to join a gym come to Jada Blitz?

Jada Blitz is not just a gym to so many. Jada Blitz is a fun place to be and escape the stresses of everyday life. It is a place where new friendships develop everyday because everyone is so friendly and pushing for the same goals as you. No matter what your ability level is, you always feel welcomed. There are so many different options available to help you on your fitness journey!
