Client of the Week


This weeks shout out goes to Nate Hammer. Here is a little bit about Nate’s fitness journey

1.) Describe your fitness journey at Jada Blitz.

I’ve had a dream of getting on stage and competing in bodybuilding since high school. A friend of mind introduced me to Justin about 2 years ago. I knew Jada Blitz was the place to go if I was going to chase this dream. It took me some time to make the decision, but I’ve been training at Jada Blitz for a year now and I’m 7 weeks away from being on stage, fulfilling my dream. I love being around like-minded individuals and here at Jada Blitz you get that sense of unity. Everyone who trains here is focused and knows the value of getting after goals, but most importantly they love what they are doing. It’s rare to find that in a gym, but it’s an every day thing at Jada Blitz.

2.) What is your favorite body part to train?

My favorite body part to train would be legs and triceps. Legs especially because legs seem to be the most challenging body part to train both physically and mentally. I love to exercise the mind and the control of my thoughts; leg day usually puts that to the test.

3.) What is your “go-to” jam that gets you pumped for your workout?

I have a few go-to songs but during my contest prep in would have to be “Looking at the Stars” by Gideonz Army & T. Haddy

4.) What is your diet intake like? What is your favorite pre/post workout meals?

I currently follow a macro/micro nutrient program. So basically I’m given a number of protein, carbohydrates, and fats that I’m supposed to hit on a daily basis. During my off-season (when I’m not prepping for a show) my protein intake is at 220 grams, my carbohydrate intake is at 700 grams and my fat intake is at 110 grams. During my contest prep though my protein intake is at 220 grams, my carbohydrate intake is at 450 grams and my fat intake is 60 grams. One of my favorite meals is Grapenuts mixed with egg whites, chocolate protein powder and chocolate soy milk. It’s packed with carbs and protein with limited fat.

5.) What was your starting weight verses what your current weight is?

I started out weighing 196 lbs. I’m currently at about 174 lbs.

6.) What do you love about your trainer, Steph?

I train with Steph twice a week. No matter what day it is, she is always loving life and doing what she was called to do. I love that she has a fearless mindset. When she sets out to do something, she does it. That kind of attitude and mindset is reflected in all of her clients.
